Product overview The N4 is best known as the model of Nuno Bettencourt, guitarist of the funk-metal band EXTREME! This particular model lacks a locking nut hole on the back of the headstock, features a Schaller Floyd-licensed bridge, and features Bill Lawrence & Seymour Duncan pickups. It doesn't use the Buzz Feiten tuning system, and the serial numbers on both the neck and body are "0052," suggesting it's a relatively early production model. The Japanese-made N4 is modeled after the original Daviess era, and unlike the modern, tight sound of current USA models, it offers a unique sound that reflects the exquisite craftsmanship and rich resonance of this Japanese-made guitar. The familiar Stefan joint allows for comfortable playing in the upper registers, even when positioned low like Nuno. Even Japanese-made models are becoming increasingly rare these days, so be sure to get your hands on one soon! Note: The front end has been replaced with a recent SH-1N.
