Product overview We've just received a circa 1980 B.C. Rich Eagle bearing the "B.C. RICO" logo! When B.C. Rich founder Bernie Chavez Rico began producing imported guitars in the late 1970s, the "B.C. RICO" branding was applied to guitars he intended to import to the USA as affordable Japanese-made models. However, due to a lawsuit over the use of the name, only about 150 guitars were actually imported to the USA under the B.C. RICO name. (After that, like the USA models, the "B.C. RICH" logo appears to have been used.) Since the lawsuit didn't apply in Japan, these guitars were distributed as "officially authorized B.C. Rich high-quality copies," but they were never widely distributed and were not readily available. While lower-end models with solid body finishes and GOTOH pickups were also available, this guitar was a premium model with DiMarzio pickups, priced at ¥180,000 at the time. Manufactured using the same parts as the B.C.RICH, the B.C.RICO boasts such a high level of perfection that even the president of B.C.RICH was astonished, according to the catalog. Even the intricate switches are perfectly reproduced. This is a must-have for players and collectors alike!

Detailed explanation	There are scratches and dents throughout, and dullness/rust on the metal parts. The truss rod works well, and there is plenty of room for adjustment in both the forward and reverse warp correction directions. The neck has been adjusted with a rod, but when the treble side is adjusted to be straight, the bass side has a slight forward bow. This does not pose any particular problems for playing. The frets have been filed down and are relatively flat, but this does not affect playing.
